WINSECMON Proprietary Software Notice

Applies to WINSECMON v3.0.0 (WINSECMON-v3.0.0-Windows-x64.zip).

WINSECMON is proprietary software. It is not open-source and it is not freeware. This is an interim notice pending formal legal review.

WINSECMON is proprietary software owned by ScaryByte (Pty) Ltd. Downloading or receiving the software does not transfer ownership or intellectual-property rights.

The software may be installed and used only for authorised internal evaluation, authorised security assessment, or in accordance with a written agreement issued or approved by ScaryByte (Pty) Ltd.

Unless ScaryByte has provided prior written permission, the software may not be redistributed, resold, sublicensed, publicly hosted, repackaged, modified, or used to provide services to a third party.

Reverse engineering, decompilation and disassembly are prohibited except to the limited extent that such restriction is not permitted under applicable law.

The software is provided “as is”, without warranties or guarantees, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Users remain responsible for obtaining all required authorisations before scanning or assessing any system, network, account, directory, tenant or data.

Use of WINSECMON must comply with applicable law, organisational authority, contractual requirements and ScaryByte’s published terms.

This notice is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
